100 Million

“Devli was born into bonded labour in a stone quarry in India.
Sitting in my car immediately after her rescue, the eight-year-old girl asked: ‘Why did you not come earlier?’
Her angry question still shakes me. What are we waiting for?”
Kailash Satyarthi, 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech.

Today, over a 100 million children – over a 100 million Devli’s - toil in full time jobs for the profit of others at the expense of their education, childhood and future. This must stop - all young people must be free, safe and educated.

The 100 Million campaign

The 100 Million campaign will support history's biggest global mobilisation of young people, aiming to end violence against children, eradicate child labour and ensure education for all. Inspired by the strength and impact of former child slaves in India, and launched alongside Nobel Laureates and world leaders, it will support every young person who refuses to accept this injustice a platform to create change. Together we can increase global compassion and build a world where all young people are safe and learning in school not working to survive.
